KTM Launches New 350cc 390 Duke and 390 Adventure – Price Starts at Rs 2.77 Lakh
KTM has expanded its popular 390 lineup by introducing new 350cc variants of the 390 Duke and 390 Adventure. These new motorcycles are designed to make the 390 series more accessible to buyers by offering a lower starting price while still maintaining the core performance and design features.
Interestingly, KTM has not discontinued the existing 399cc models. Instead, the new 350cc versions will be sold alongside the larger engine variants, giving customers more options depending on their budget and performance needs.
Price of the New 350cc KTM Bikes
The newly introduced models are positioned at a more affordable price compared to their larger engine counterparts.
- 350cc 390 Duke – Rs 2.77 lakh
- 350cc 390 Adventure – Rs 2.81 lakh
This makes the new Duke roughly Rs 62,000 cheaper than the 399cc 390 Duke R. A similar price gap is seen between the new 350cc 390 Adventure and the existing 399cc variants.
Engine and Performance
The new models are powered by a 349.32cc engine which produces 41.5 horsepower at 8,600 rpm and 33.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.
Compared to the 399cc engine used in the larger models, the new engine produces slightly less power and torque. The difference is around 4.5 horsepower and 5.5 Nm of torque. However, KTM has ensured that the riding experience remains exciting and engaging.
Features and Technology
Even though the engine size has been reduced, KTM has kept most of the features unchanged. Riders will still get the same technology and ergonomics that made the 390 series popular.
- TFT digital instrument console
- Sporty riding ergonomics
- Strong chassis and suspension setup
- Similar wheelbase and ground clearance
These features ensure that the bikes still deliver the premium feel expected from KTM’s performance lineup.
Existing 399cc Models Continue
KTM has also made some naming changes to distinguish the larger engine models. The 399cc Duke will now be known as the 390 Duke R, while the 390 Adventure models will receive an “S” suffix.
This strategy allows KTM to offer multiple options in the same lineup while targeting different price segments.
Impact on KTM 250 Series
The launch of these new models raises an interesting question regarding the future of KTM’s 250cc lineup. With the price gap now much smaller, some buyers may prefer upgrading directly to the 350cc versions instead of choosing the 250cc bikes.
For comparison, the KTM 250 Duke is priced at around Rs 2.17 lakh while the 250 Adventure costs approximately Rs 2.46 lakh.
Should You Buy the New 350cc KTM Models?
If you want a performance-focused motorcycle but find the price of the 399cc models slightly high, the new 350cc variants could be a great option. They offer nearly the same design, features and riding experience at a significantly lower price.
However, riders who want the maximum performance and power may still prefer the larger 399cc variants.
Final Thoughts
With the launch of these new 350cc versions, KTM has made its 390 series more accessible to a wider range of riders. The new models maintain the sporty DNA of the brand while offering a more affordable entry point into the premium performance motorcycle segment.
It will be interesting to see how these bikes perform in the market and whether they attract buyers away from the 250cc lineup.

It’s interesting to see KTM introduce these 350cc variants while keeping the 399cc models in the lineup. This seems like a great move for riders who want the 390 experience without going all-in on the price tag.
